The Rodeo 3.0 wheel family has grown. What started with our more adventure oriented 3.0X rim, has now added a 3.0 Race variant.
This new 3.0R rim and wheelset is our response to Rodeo riders and racers asking for a deeper and wider option. The “X” has earned a very strong reputation and track record for durability, impact resistance, and light weight, but people spending more time at high speed requested something that would cut through the wind better. Marginal gains, here we come.
Rodeo rims are proprietary products, developed by Rodeo with experts in composites and manufacturing. We use a bespoke carbon layup that integrates TeXtremeยฎ Innegra spread tow fiber, which has a much greater impact resistance than carbon fiber alone. In the unlikely event that you damage one of our rims, it’s far more likely that the rim will continue to hold up and get you to the end of your race or adventure.
We didn’t stop with a new rim shape on the new 3.0R rim, we’ve also upgraded our lightweight hubset from a traditional pawl system to a stronger and more reliable star ratchet design that is compatible with DT swiss star ratchet internals. Say hello to the Rodeo 4.0 hubset.
Rodeo 3.0R wheels can be configured with our 4.0 hubs or any hubset of your chosing. If you don’t see what you’re after, just get in touch. We also offer our 3.0R rims as a stand-alone if you or your shop would prefer to lace them up yourselves.

Innegra TexTremeยฎ
Our 3.0 series rims use a proprietary layup which takes advantage of the unique performance benefits of TexTreme spread tow.
Superior Impact Resistance: The thinner, densely packed tape layers minimize micro-cracking and improve the material’s tolerance to damage and impact.
Maximum Strength & Stiffness: By keeping the fibers completely straight (crimp-free), the fibers carry loads far more efficiently than standard woven carbon. This allows manufacturers to achieve equal or greater structural strength while using less material.
Ultra-Lightweight: Flatter, thinner plies reduce the amount of excess resin (epoxy) required to bond the layers, significantly lowering the overall weight of the finished product.

If we can order it, we can build your wheels with it. If you would prefer to send your hubs in for a rebuild, we are able to accommodate almost any hub.
Built in USA
All custom spec and Berd spoke builds are built at Rodeo HQ in Denver, Colorado. All other builds are built by the masters at Onyx Racing, Minnesota, USA.
Spoke Selection
Chose your spokes to balance weight, aerodynamics, and budget. Berd spokes are the lightest, CX-Ray balance weight and aero. If you’ve got something more exotic in mind, just let us know!
