Explorts 2.5 Expedition Cycling Bib Shorts

Our Explorts 3.0 bib shorts are our newest ground-up bib short design. Designed to complement not replace our Explorts 2.5 expedition shorts, the 3.0 bibs simly mix up the priorities of the short. 3.0 use a pattern with more panels and slightly higher compression for a more race-centric fit. The waistline is higher, and the rear extends upward to accomodate a central pocket in the lower back for added storage on those long days. The short pockets are slightly smaller on the 30 short, but still large enough to hold plenty of food or the largest cell phones. We’ve used ultra premium Italian dyed Lycra short fabric, which wears much better and longer than sublimated or printed bibs. We’ve eliminated the sewn leg cuff and integrated it seamlessly into the garment with micro screened silicone gripper dots. Our chamois is an ultra-endurance class Italian EIT chamois as well.

Rodeo Explorts bibshorts began development in 2018, and have been in a constant state of evolution and improvement ever since. Not content to simply ride other shorts in the same way that we aren’t content to simply ride other bikes, we developed first and foremost with rider comfort in mind. We’ve succeeded in creating shorts that are great for a quick afternoon ride, and we’ve proven these same shorts in races and rides that span days and weeks of non-stop use. Tour Divide, Atlas Mountain Race, Unbound 200 and XL, Texas Showdown (400), Traka 560, Transcontinental. Explorts have been ridden in these events and many more with great success and rider feedback.

Shorts are one of the primary interface points between each rider and their bike, and we couldn’t be more motivated to make Explorts 3.0 one of the finest and most functional options on the market.

We feel that our sizing is largely consistent with other cycling clothing brand sizing, but please do be careful to consult the size chart below before sizing.
