Spork 1.2 Color
Hello –
The Spork 1.2 says the matte 3k carbon finish is only available to builders, but that is the only option available in the drop-down when selecting color. Is that the only color available? Can anyone purchase that fork?
Answer
Those product names were a bit confusing. I just corrected them. Standard 3k carbon is available to anyone. RTP is builder only.

Frame Protection?
I have a Flaanimal 5.0 frame on order and wanted to buy frame protection kit ahead of time to apply before I build the bike up. I was looking at one of the Gravel/Road Kits from RideWrap but wasn’t sure whether to choose matte to gloss finish to best match the naked finish with decals. Which do you suggest?

Matte would definitely match best.

Cable Routing on Trail Donkey 2.1
Hi, I am finally building a Trail Donkey 2.1 that I purchased from you back in December. The build uses 105 hydraulic brakes and 1×11 mechanical shifting. I am working on the cable routing, and I think I see that most of your TDs have the shifter cable and brake line run from the right shifter around the head tube to the left side of the frame. The issue is that all of the images have the crank side facing the camera (as proper) and I can’t see where the cables go. So, when routing the shifter cable and the brake cable from the right shifter, which goes through which of the holes on the rider’s-left side of the frame? If one of them goes through the top hole where does it go next—through the top tube or down tube?
As an aside, can the brake and shifter be routed through the lower hole on the left side of the TD frame like you do with the Flaanimal?
I hope I’m not missing something obvious. Anyways, thanks for your help.
Answer
The rear brake line and front derailleur shifter line typically enter on the two drive side ports.
The rear shift line enters through the lower non drive side port.All lines run through the down tube towards the BB.
The rear shift line and rear brake line enter the chainstays and seat through small internal holes and exit ports further along the chain stays before entering the brake caliper or rear derailleur.

49cm height rec missing
Hello! I am looking at the Flaanimal 5.0 bike. I see the recommended heights for everything but the 49cm. I am 5’5” with 30 in inseam and shorter torso and reach. I am not an aggressive rider, preferring distance to speed on gravel. I sit up more like a tourer or an endurance rider. I am older too—just shy of 50. I am on the border between sizes and wanted to know your recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tara,
By our size chart you fit exactly in the sweet spot of the 52cm.For a more endurance / upright fit I would recommend leaving 4cm of spacers under your stem to allow for adjusting your cockpit height.

BB variations
Dear Rodeo team!
Today is donkey day! Just received my TD 3.1 frame at home.
Now facing same challenge as many of us nowadays: some parts are still missing and out of stock.
I build a SRAM Force AXS mullet with a 1×12 setting. Missing parts are: Crankset (Praxis Zayante is not available).
I try to find a matching alternative and wanted to ask for your experience. What would you recommend? Or is there anything to consider?
My ideas
– SRAM Force 1 DUB. More expensive due to limited T47 BB’s available. Would take a Chris King T47 30X with Dub conversion kit or a C-Bear Cyclocross BB (unsure if this is a good choice for rough terrain)
– SRAM Force 1 GXP, More BB’s available
Is there any other crankset BB combination I should consider for the mullet build?As I would love to use Zayante I was surprised about the compatibility statement of Praxis: not using SRAM chains. Did recognize any issues with a 1×12 SRAM setup? Could use a KMC chain instead….

GRX 2x tire clearance impact on trail donkey

I ordered a trail donkey a few weeks ago and while I’m waiting for it I’m trying to figure out which drivetrain I want to piece together. Will using a grx 2x crankset reduce tire clearance on the trail donkey 3.1?

Wait a minute! 42t is as small as you can go 1x and SS?! I gotta run a 34 1x and a 36 ss. Am I SOL here?

I’m looking to get Flanimal frameset, what hardware are included?
I’m planning to order a Flanimal 5.0 framesets and building a 2x. I’m looking at the build components store and wondering if there’re any hardware I should order as well. eg, do I need to get the slider hardware or those are included? I’d appreciate your recommendations.
