The less busy winter months are when our painters and designers get to set some time aside and experiment with ideas that have been knocking around their heads throughout the year. On this build we started with the question “What happens if you spray a fade using two Cerakote FX colors and they blend together in the middle?” The concept was intriguing, so in the pursuit of knowledge (and fun) we went for it and the outcome was even cooler than we imagined! The ‘sparkling sea blue pearl’ beautifully collides with a ‘fiery color-shift red’ to create a dance of purples and pinks that change with different lighting and angles. A series of stripes run down the seat tube- a pair of fiery rose up top, shimmery blue on bottom, and a mixture of the two colors wrap around the middle. Not content with how any of our existing fonts vibed with the paintjob, our painter/designer Adam opted for creating custom fonts to match the futuristic look. Even the head badge was customized to a uniquely shimmering Flaany. You honestly can’t appreciate this bike in photos the way you will in person.
A finish like this deserved a collection of parts for the build that were equally unique. The microSHIFT SWORD drivetrain and TRP Spyre brakes don’t get as much attention as some of the other household names in groupsets, but we are confident you’ll have a reliably fun ride while standing out from the crowd. Praxis Zayante carbon cranks will help you spin the 700×47 Vittoria Terreno tan-wall rubber wrapped around DT Swiss G 1800 Spline wheels throughout all your gravel and bikepacking adventures. We had a Wolf Tooth seatpost clamp laying around that matched the blue paint too beautifully not to use, which inspired the name for this one-off, the “Blue Collar.”
When the build was finished we all gathered around and stared at it for a long time, attempting to wrap our heads around the level of awesomeness twinkling back at us. Snag this beauty today and you’ll be sure to have slack-jawed onlookers wherever you take her, or wherever she takes you.
A 58cm frameset can be well fit to riders 6’0″ – 6’2″.
Ready To Roll bikes are offered at advantageous pricing because we chose the spec and we design the one-off custom paint.
