Hey Rodeo Labs,

I’ll be adopting a Flaanimal 4.1 Pine Cone frameset as soon as you get your new stock and was wondering if I need a front derailleur band clamp, or if there is a frame braze-on for the front derailleur attachment.  I’m planning on using a Shimano 105 or Ultegra FD if that matters at all.

Thanks,

Stephen

They aren’t included with every frame because modern Shimano derailleurs have the stop built in, and so many builds are 1x. They look like this:

Which little bit in the bag of parts is the FRONT CABLE STOP?

Stephen,

You do need a clamp for the FD. It is not built into the frame. The clamp should be a 31.8

We don’t build the clamp onto the frame because we want the frame to remain nice and clean for 1x drivetrain users

Thanks!
